On June 25th, KILLA003 will be released. The 2 tracks featuring are "Dis Battle" and "Brighter Dayz" by the Canadian jungle producer, DJ K. These tracks have been cained in heavy rotation in North America over the past years, and across Europe to overwhelming acclaim in 2008 on the Jungle Mashup Tour and in 2009 on the Killa Europe Tour. "Dis Battle" is a serious show starter right from the flanged opening snare hits into the clash vocal bit "hold on!", immediately stabbing into jump-up amens and the signature DJ K double-drop just as the MC announces "this ain't ova with!" So many drum cuts, hip-hop samples, vocal hooks, drums and basslines pushing forward, it has become a favorite anthem for both jungle and dnb fans from across the world. The entire dancefloor moves when this one drops. "Brighter Dayz" caused a huge wave of positive response on the net as it was placed on the Killa website and DJ K myspace simultaneously in 2007. Fans immediately placed it in their top 10's and added it to their pages for a new jungle hit like no other. Melodic guitars fill your ears, layered with simple percussions, but just as you are not sure what will come next, straight heavy grimey amens flows perfectly into the track and carries it to a smooth but deadly sub-baseline into a groove perfect for dancing, reflecting and mixing.

Killa Records was founding in 2003 by DJ K in Canada. KILLA001, featuring the classics "Kill or be Killed" and "Brace Yourself" and the KILLA002 "Suffer" and "Pounding Dronez" were distributed out of Los Angeles California USA in 2003 and 2004, respectively. The sound is hard-hitting, straight-forward massive amen jungle. Taking influences from ragga mashups and dnb amen rollers. Quick-cuts, centered drums and full bass stabs. Bridging the gaps between both jungle and dnb heads with unquestionably huge drops and forward-moving clear beats. Remaining copies have become collectors items and the requests for a new release have become increasingly strong. Over the last year DJ K spoke with DJ's and vinyl enthusiasts in Russia, Ukraine and most of Europe and the clear message was that the demand is now, and jungle is massive. The first two releases were pressed in America at 1500 copies. This release is being pressed in Europe. At only 500 copies, it is an extremely limited run and expected to sell out very quickly.

DJ K has been producing jungle since 2001. His landmark first release "Championz" on gold vinyl from the legendary Nitrous Oxide label boosted him to the forefront of the North American underground ragga jungle movement. The following releases of "Murdah", "Respect", "On a Mission" and "Flyin" on Big Cat Records, and "All you Muthafuckin Hypocrites" on white vinyl from N2O firmly established him as one of the founding members of the new sound emerging from the continent. DJ K believes in aggressive jungle with the strength of gritty nuschool dnb basslines fused with the soul of oldschool breakbeat and ragga jungle. The result is a unique, loud, danceable jungle sound that appeals to a wide audience. He founded Killa Records to further promote his brand of amen sound, releasing 2 records with 4 new tracks, and touring with Capital J and R.A.W. on the North American "Diss Da Program Sound'klash Tour" in 2003. Throughout the years K has also been extremely busy as a selector, playing sold-out shows, raves and often co-promoting parties he believes in. He has become world-reknown for his precise style of cutting and dropping the heaviest straight-forward hard-hitting jungle. K has also been one of the biggest producers of mixtapes. Currently at over 60 mixes and 10 years experience, in 2007 DJ K started the Killa Podcast. Still offering regular free mixes featuring dubplate exclusives, live segments and keeping junglists on the forefront of new producers and top tracks in his crate, these mixes have increased in populartiy now becoming one of the biggest stations for jungle music on iTunes.

K has an enormous library of unreleased dubplates and remixes which have been requested by the massive constantly. In addition to the long-anticipated KILLA003 release, DJ K recently launched Killa Digital with the 5-track Hostile E.P. on the Killa site and Digital-tunes.net. In May 2009, the mighty Dub Chamber Digital released 006 with DJ K's "Poison" and "Base 2 Dark" remixes on Beatport.com. Upcoming vinyl release on Dub Chamber is already in the works. The next Celestial Conspiracy Records 006 vinyl release set for release later in 2009 features an original track by DJ K featuring vocals by Marina in a jump-up dnb vs. amen oldschool tear-out style. Future Killa Digital releases will see more of DJ K's material being released as well as other featured jungle artists. DJ K is still touring Europe with dates leading all the way into the end of the calendar year.
